Personal Website

Thoughtful software for real-life collections.

I'm Gabriel, and this is the front page for the tools I build with a calm, editorial feel. Right now that includes a shared home library app and a solo escape room, both shaped around a strong atmosphere and a clear sense of use.

About

Building quiet software with a personal point of view

I’m Gabriel Patrascu. I like small products that feel cared for: clear structure, warm presentation, and features shaped by how people actually live with a tool.

Short Bio

Software with a lived-in feel

This site is becoming a home for projects that start from real routines and real needs. The goal is not just to make things work, but to make them pleasant to come back to.

What I Care About

  • Thoughtful interfaces that don’t feel generic.
  • Useful tools for personal collections, workflows, and daily habits.
  • Projects that can begin small and still feel complete.

Featured Work

A homepage that points to real projects

Instead of a vague “coming soon” portfolio, this page leads with work you can open right now. The library app and the escape room set the tone for the rest of the site: useful, personal, and built with a strong sense of atmosphere.

Project Spotlight

Shared Library App

A focused dashboard for a real home collection. It tracks who owns each book, where it belongs, what is being read, and what has been lent out, all in a layout that feels more like a well-made reading journal than an admin panel.

Catalog management Ownership tracking Shelf organization Lending workflow
  • Capture the whole story of a book Title, author, ISBN, genre, language, format, notes, shelf, and cover all live together.
  • See the collection from multiple angles Search and filter by owner, reading state, shelf, genre, lending status, and more.
  • Keep the tone human The interface is practical, but it still feels warm and personal instead of purely transactional.

Why This Page Exists

Every project deserves a front cover, not just a route buried behind a URL.

Newly Added

Ghost in the Prompt

A solo escape room where an internal model called ORA locks down a bunker and turns the player into the last human operator standing between containment and collapse.

In Progress

Personal Website

This homepage itself is becoming the base for a fuller portfolio with writing, additional products, and notes on process.

Next Slot

Coming Soon

Future experiments, new tools, and the next project worth publishing will land here as the site grows.

Approach

What I want this site to feel like

Useful

I like software that solves ordinary problems cleanly instead of overcomplicating them with cleverness.

Warm

Interfaces can be structured and reliable without feeling sterile. Texture, tone, and pacing matter.

Personal

The best projects often start close to home. This one grew out of real shelves and real people, and the rest of the site can do the same.
